Return & Exchange Policy

At Red Dot Engineering, we stand behind the quality and performance of every part we sell. If you’re not completely satisfied with your purchase, we’re here to help make it right.

Standard Return Window

We accept returns within 30 days of the original purchase date. Items must be new, unused, uninstalled, and returned in their original packaging.

Non-Returnable Items

Certain items are not eligible for return, including:

  • Custom-fabricated or made-to-order parts

  • Electrical components

  • Open-box or clearance items

  • Items marked “Final Sale” or “Non-Returnable” at the time of purchase

Return Conditions

To qualify for a return:

  • Item must be in resalable condition (no signs of installation, wear, or damage)

  • Include all original packaging, hardware, and documentation

  • A Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number must be issued before sending items back

Returns sent without prior RMA approval may be refused and returned to sender.

Restocking Fees

All approved returns may be subject to a 15% restocking fee to cover inspection, repackaging, and processing costs. This fee will be deducted from your refund.

Refunds

Once we receive and inspect your returned item:

  • Approved refunds will be issued to your original payment method within 7–10 business days

  • Shipping costs are non-refundable unless the return is due to our error (e.g., wrong or defective item)

Exchanges & Replacements

If you received a defective, damaged, or incorrect item, please contact us within 7 days of delivery. We will expedite a replacement or arrange for a refund, depending on availability.

Shipping Your Return

Customers are responsible for return shipping unless the return is due to an error on our part. We recommend using a trackable shipping method and insuring the return package.

We are not responsible for lost or damaged returns in transit.

Warranty Claims

Many of our parts are backed by a manufacturer’s warranty. If you believe your part qualifies for a warranty claim, please contact us with your order details and description of the issue. We will guide you through the appropriate steps for resolution.

  • Product(s) being returned

  • Reason for the return

  • Photos (if applicable)
